Product Description
RocketLinx MC7001 is a compact 1-port Fast Ethernet to Fiber media converter, making it the ideal size to fit into a chassis with limited space.
It also supports a switch forwarding mode with abnormal packet filtering and pure converter mode for extreme low latency requirements - Fieldbus and EtherCAT, which needs invariant forwarding latency in 64-1522 bytes packet length.
For a field site or a harsh environment installation such as vibrating machinery, the RocketLinx MC7001 can be mounted directly onto a DIN rail and powered with DC 18-32V, or AC12-27V where DC input is not available.
RocketLinx MC7001 can survive and have excellent performance under -20 to 70degree C temperature range, severe electromagnetic interference and vibration.

Packet transfer mode:

This feature is selected by DIP-switch.
Switch mode will begin to forward the received data only after has received the frame completely, the forwarding latency depends on the packet length. Supported packet length is 50 to 1600Bytes.
IPure Converter mode, the mc7001 directly transfers Ethernet packets without any frame checking.
