Introduction

The RocketPort INFINITY product family is Comtrol’s next generation multi-port serial adapter. Products are fully compatible with systems that have 32 or 64 bit 3.3 or 5 volt uPCI and PCI-X expansion slots.

Cards are low profile and are for use in both standard PCs and low-profile servers and all products support software selectable RS-232/422/485 serial communication modes.

Quad-cable and octa-cable products reach serial communication speeds of 921 Kbps and products with an interface communicate at up to 460 Kbps.

The product family includes models from 4-ports up to 32-ports with up to 128-ports per system.

All of these benefits stem from the INFINITY design maximising serial performance via Comtrol’s exclusive high-performance Unity ASIC chip.
