Introduction

The RocketPort SMPTE range of cards is designed to provide an additional 8 serial ports using a single uPCI (PCI & PCI-x) or PCI Express (PCI-e) slot. The interface (supplied with the card) provides DB9F serial ports and conforms to the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers standard SMPTE 207M. Each port is selectable for DTE/DCE and the data transmission speed are well in excess of the SMPTE 207M requirements. There is no need to add further adapters as you would with a standard IT product.

A wide range of drivers are available for these cards.
