The OmniConverter GLPoE/Sx is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch that combines Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) with Power over Ethernet (SPoE), delivering data and power over a single twisted pair. Designed for long-distance and space-constrained industrial applications, it offers reliable connectivity and power delivery for edge devices beyond traditional Ethernet limits.
Key Features:
4 Single Pair Ethernet SPoE Ports
Provides four IEEE 802.3cg-compliant 10BASE-T1L SPoE ports, available as 3-pin terminal blocks or IEC 63171-2 connectors, supporting up to 1,000 meters of cable reach.Flexible Uplink Options
Includes two uplink ports—selectable as 10/100/1000 RJ-45 copper or 100/1000 SFP fiber—for seamless integration into diverse network environments.SPoE Power Delivery
Detects and classifies powered devices (PDs) using DIP-switches. Supports both 30VDC (Class 10–12) and 58VDC (Class 13–15) for powering industrial sensors, controllers, and other edge devices.Advanced Switching Modes
Dual Device Mode: Operates as two isolated Ethernet switches in a single unit, ideal for segregated networks.
Directed Switch Mode: Optimizes multicast traffic by sending it only to the appropriate uplink port, reducing unnecessary traffic.
Redundant Uplinks: Enables automatic failover between uplinks to ensure continuous operation in critical applications.
Daisy-Chaining Support
Use the second uplink port to cascade multiple switches, simplifying linear or extended network architectures.Easy Configuration
DIP-switches allow simple, tool-free setup of power and switching modes, with clearly labeled functions for user-friendly installation.Versatile Mounting & Power Options
Mountable on walls, DIN-rails, or racks (with optional shelf). Available with either a 100–240V AC external power adapter or a DC terminal power input for flexible deployment.SFP Uplink Compatibility
SFP ports support a range of fiber transceivers, including 100Mbps and 1000Mbps standard, CWDM, and DWDM options, in various distances and fiber types.
The OmniConverter GLPoE/Sx is ideal for powering and networking remote industrial devices—such as sensors, actuators, and controllers—across extended distances, with maximum reliability and minimal infrastructure.

Building Automation
This example demonstrates a Building Automation application utilizing an OmniConverter GLPoE/Sx switch and 10TPS/LPD modules to connect various building systems to a centralized control room. No external AC power is needed, as the 10TPS/LPD modules receive power from the GLPoE/Sx switch via a Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) cable, and in turn, power the connected building systems. The OmniConverter modules manage and control systems such as motion detection, lighting, elevator operation, floor access control, security surveillance, and HVAC.
Dual Device Mode Application
The Dual Device feature is especially valuable when two isolated network domains need to share a common network distribution point.
In the example below, a surveillance security network (green) and a Wi-Fi network (purple) both connect through a single hub location. By leveraging the Dual Device mode and utilizing two uplinks, a single switch can support both the cameras and Wi-Fi access points over Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) cabling—while keeping the two networks isolated.
No AC power is required at the remote end. The OmniConverter GLPoE/Sx supplies power over the SPE cable to the OmniConverter 10TPS/LPD, which then powers both the cameras and the access points.
