The OmniConverter Single-Pair Ethernet converters are IEEE 802.3cg-compliant devices designed to convert 10BASE-T Ethernet to single-pair 10BASE-T1L Ethernet, enabling Ethernet link distances of up to 1 km over single-pair Ethernet (SPE) cabling.
These converters feature one IEEE 802.3cg-compliant 10BASE-T1L terminal or IEC 63171 SPE port and one 10BASE-T RJ-45 port, supporting 10 Mbps full-duplex data rates.
- 10T/T1L: Converts 10BASE-T RJ-45 Ethernet to single-pair 10BASE-T1L Ethernet.
- 10TPS/T1L: Combines 10BASE-T IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) RJ-45 Ethernet with single-pair 10BASE-T1L Ethernet conversion.
The Single-Pair Ethernet converters provide seamless connectivity to IEEE 802.3cg-compliant devices, such as field transmitters, building controllers, and cameras.
These plug-and-play modules are easy to install in-line, offering 10 Mbps full-duplex data rates to extend network distances in industrial and in-building automation applications.
Available as standalone units with optional mounting brackets, they can also be DIN-rail mounted using an optional DIN-rail clip kit (8252-0). Models come with either an external 100–240VAC power adapter or a 2-pin DC terminal connector.

Building Automation
Here the OmniConverter 10T/T1L extends a 10Mbps Ethernet data connection from a Building Automation Controller over single-pair ethernet to a remote controller, which is gathering data from building sensors and meters.
Extending Ethernet to 1km
The following example shows an OmniConverter 10T/T1L extending a 100m 10Mbps Ethernet data connection across a single-pair Ethernet cable to another OmniConverter 10T/T1L. The total distance between Ethernet switches is up to 1.2km
Extend Ethernet up to 1km, and inject up to 30W PoE+
Finally, this example shows an OmniConverter 10T/T1L extending a 10Mbps Ethernet data connection as before, across a SPE cable to a 10TPS/T1L, powering an 802.3at PoE camera.
