Equipped with a 10/100 auto-sensing RJ-45 port, the FlexPoint 10/100 adjusts to optimize performance based on connected devices. For added control, an override switch allows manual configuration of port operation and Half/Full-Duplex settings for both fibre and RJ-45 ports.
Whether set to auto-negotiation or manual operation, the RJ-45 port effortlessly detects and sets MDI/MDI-X crossover, while a manual switch facilitates MDI/MDI-X crossover in manual mode. The fibre port supports various connectors (SC, ST, or LC) and Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceivers, offering adaptability to diverse fibre types, distances, and wavelengths, including multimode, single-mode, and single-fibre.
Configuration is made easy with manual switch settings and LED indicators providing clear status updates on power, port activity, link status, speed, and duplex modes. Mounting options include wall-mounting hardware, DIN-rail brackets, or rack-mounting in a 5-Module shelf, ensuring flexible deployment.
Power options are equally adaptable, with support for external AC to DC adapters, 2-pin DC terminal connectors, or 5VDC chassis connectors, enabling seamless integration into existing setups or expansion plans.

In this example of an enterprise campus application, FlexPoint 10/100 media converters are housed in a 14-Module Redundant Power chassis to facilitate high-density fibre distribution from the UTP switch equipment at the Network Core. A UTP workgroup switch (A) is linked via fibre to an industrial temperature standalone FlexPoint 10/100 media converter. Another industrial temperature FlexPoint 10/100 media converter is used to transition the fibre back to UTP in a fibre-to-desktop scenario (B). Additionally, an Ethernet switch (C) is directly connected through fibre to the FlexPoint module at the Network Core. Both multimode and single-mode fibres are applicable, with the capability to extend fibre links up to 120km using single-mode fibre.
