The FlexPoint 1000FF is a reliable Gigabit Ethernet fibre-to-fibre converter/transponder for extending network distances with ease. This versatile device seamlessly connects multimode fibre networks or devices over single-mode fibre cabling, offering both reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Operating with a constant rate signal ranging from 500Mbps to 1250Mbps, the FlexPoint 1000FF is suitable for Ethernet networks and various other fibre-to-fibre protocol applications without requiring manual configuration. Simply connect the fibre cables to the appropriate interface, and your installation is complete.
Featuring fibre ports operating at 850nm, 1310nm, or 1550nm with SC connectors, the FlexPoint 1000FF offers flexibility tailored to your needs. Multimode fibre models support distances of up to 550m, while single-mode fibre models extend up to 80km.
LED indicators with clear descriptions on the label facilitate easy in-the-field installation and maintenance, reporting power availability and device detection on the fibre ports.
Mounting options abound, including wall-mounting hardware, DIN-rail brackets, or rack-mounting in a 5-Module shelf or a high-density 14-Module, power-redundant Powered Chassis. Powering the FlexPoint modules is equally versatile, with options for external AC to DC adapters, 5VDC chassis connectors, or external DC power supplies (18-60VDC). In the power-redundant Powered Chassis, modules are powered via the 5VDC chassis connector, providing flexibility as your network evolves.

The FlexPoint 1000FF fibre converter can extend the network across single-mode fiber with distances up to 80km. In this application, two Gigabit Ethernet switches are connected utilizing a pair of FlexPoint 1000FF fiber converters, which are connected to the switches via a multimode fibre uplink.
