10BASE-T Copper to 10BASE-2 Coax Media Converter
The FlexPoint 10T/2 is a half duplex TBASE-T UTP to 10BASE-2 coax media converter, facilitating the connection of a coax segment to a 10BASE-T hub or workstation.
The FlexPoint 10T/2 is plug and play, so no manual configuration is required. Simply connect the UTP and coax cables and the installation is complete.
Distances up to 100m using Cat 3 cable or higher are supported. TheFlexPoint 10T/2 detects and corrects wiring polarity reversals, and features a cross-over switch to facility easy connection to a hub or workstation.
On the Coax side, the FlexPoint features a BNC connector supporting 50 ohm cabling with distances up to 185m. Up to 30 workstations can be attached to the coax segment, and a termination switch provides a handy 50 ohm cable termination.
LED indication on the FlexPoint 10T/2 report availability of power, port activity and link status, polarity reversal detection and correction, collision and jabbers.
FlexPoint modules can be wall mounted, DIN rail mounted, or rack-mounted in a 5 module shelf or high density 14 module, power redundant power chassis.
